Our client is a pan-African foundation working to strengthen socio-economic and political justice on the African continent. Through collaboration and partnerships with like-minded institutions and donors, they convene dialogues, provide grants, and technical assistance to organizations working to advance these goals.
To support the Agriculture Advocacy project, a Program Associate is being sought. With a focus on six countries including Burkina Faso, Ghana, Malawi, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Uganda, the goal of this project is to support the emergence of a stronger community of advocates to hold governments accountable for better policies and increased allocations to support smallholder farmers, especially women. Moreover, the project seeks to increase the technical, organisational and advocacy capacity of civil society organisations to participate in agriculture policy making on the continent.
For this exciting opportunity, we’re looking for an individual with knowledge of and experience in the agriculture policy issues currently constraining African countries and demonstrated understanding of the on-going policy initiatives. It is expected that you will be in possession of a post-graduate degree in social sciences or development management with specialization in policy analysis.
