The Sunrise Project is on the lookout for an exceptional Deputy Director, Australian Energy Transition (AET), who can take the lead in driving our AET Program’s strategies towards a rapid and equitable transition from dirty coal power to clean energy. We need a visionary leader who understands the intricate workings of politics, policy, and strategy, and who possesses top-notch analytical, facilitation, management, and campaign skills. In this role, you’ll focus on people and project management, and drive game-changing movement-building interventions to build the power we need to succeed.
As the Deputy Director of Australian Energy Transition, you have a proven track record of contributing to real-world changes and have learned valuable lessons from failures along the way. With your exceptional skills in understanding complex systems and social movements, as well as your unwavering passion for climate justice, you will inspire and lead a team to drive strategic outcomes.
