Nonviolent Peaceforce – Head of Mission, Sudan and Deputy Head of Mission, Iraq
Nonviolent Peaceforce (NP) is a visionary global civil society organization dedicated to promoting peace through nonviolent means. Their goal is to create a world where conflicts within and between communities and nations are resolved through peaceful methods. NP achieves this by working with individuals affected by violent conflicts to enhance their security and dignity through unarmed civilian protection (UCP) and by transforming the world’s response to conflict situations.
To fill the critical role of Head of Mission Sudan and Deputy Head of Mission Iraq, NGO Recruit conducted a comprehensive headhunt that comprised of one hundred and eighteen (118) highly competitive candidates. After conducting several rounds of interviews, the team identified six (6) outstanding individuals with the skills, passion, and principles needed to excel in both roles.
Ultimately, Mahteme Mikre was appointed Head of Mission Sudan. With extensive experience in the humanitarian sector, he is passionate about alleviating human suffering and contributing to sustainable development. His outstanding organizational and training skills make him the perfect fit for this critical role.
Geoffrey Faraday, was appointed Deputy Head of Mission Iraq. Bold and passionate about humanitarian affairs, he is dedicated to helping others achieve their best in complex environments. He enjoys working closely with communities and has excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
