NGO Recruit Partners is proud to collaborate with Vital Strategies, a global leader in public health innovation, on the Cause of Death Assistant (CODA) project, a groundbreaking initiative applying artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance the quality, accuracy, and use of cause-of-death data in low- and middle-income countries. CODA is redefining how global health systems generate and use mortality data to inform smarter, evidence-based decisions.
As Principal Technical Advisor, Research, you will lead the CODA research agenda, ensuring scientific rigor, ethical standards, and the production of evidence that guides innovation and policy impact. Working with global consortium partners, advisory committees, and technical experts, you’ll bridge research and practice, translating complex data into actionable insights that improve health outcomes.
You bring:
- 15+ years’ experience in health research, global health, or mortality measurement, with leadership in multi-country initiatives
- Strong expertise in research design, data analysis, and health information systems
- Understanding of AI and digital tools in health data innovation
- Proven experience working with governments, donors, and academic institutions
- Excellent ability to communicate complex findings to drive decision-making
