ISDAO (Initiative Sankofa d’Afrique de I’Quest) is a dynamic activist-led fund that is committed to supporting and strengthening the West African movement for gender diversity and sexual rights. Their flexible approach to grant-making and culture of philanthropy prioritizes human rights and social justice. With a deep commitment to the values of autonomy, inclusivity, diversity, and intersectionality, ISDAO is making a significant impact in advancing LGBTQI rights in the region.
We were tasked with finding ISDAO an exceptional Chief Financial Officer.
After an extensive headhunt and numerous interviews, ISDAO appointed Alexander Kamalu. During the selection process, the candidates’ skillsets, qualifications, and views on protecting the rights of persons within the LGBTQI community were thoroughly assessed.
With over 20 years of experience in various international non-profit and non-governmental organizations, Alexander brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role. He is an expert in finance, risk management, operations, project management, and organizational development. As a passionate advocate for human rights, Alexander is eager to contribute his skills and experience to ISDAO’s mission.
