NGO Recruit is thrilled to be joining forces with the Southern African HIV Clinicians Society (SAHCS) in its search for an exceptional Chief Executive Officer.
SAHCS is a membership organisation of over 10,000 healthcare workers with an interest in HIV. SAHCS strives to support and strengthen the capacity of its members to deliver high quality, evidence-based HIV prevention, care and treatment services.
SAHCS accomplishes its mission through developing and offering ongoing continuing medical education; clinical treatment guidelines; operating the PubMed Central® accredited Southern African Journal of HIV Medicine and the HIV Nursing Matters publication; sending regular clinical tips by SMS; acting as a communication intermediary to healthcare workers (HCWs) from government, industry and other NGOs; offering both face-to-face, online and blended learning for all cadres of healthcare provider; and running a large biennial clinical skills-building conference, as well as facilitating an annual international HIV drug resistance congress. SAHCS also works collaboratively with the National Department of Health (NDoH), developing and facilitating content on its behalf.
The ideal candidate is an experienced strategic leader with a background in public health, knowledge of the HIV/AIDS sector, as well as both the public and private sectors, and extensive knowledge and experience in obtaining and managing large, grant-funded HIV and public health programmes.
The incumbent must be aligned to the mission, objectives and values of SAHCS, whilst providing strong leadership and building relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
