NGO Recruit has partnered with Youth Impact in their search for a new Project Manager.
Youth Impact’s mission is to connect youth to proven life-saving information. Our vision is to enable over 1 million youth to thrive through delivery of multiple evidence-based programs. We are at an inflection point in our growth. We currently have over 240 staff managing three programs in health and education. With a cumulative reach of nearly 100,000 youth in 10 countries with programs in 40% of primary schools in Botswana. Our culture is unique. On a given day our leaders will sing and dance, negotiate MOUs, and spend dedicated time with the field team in schools.
We are searching for an exceptional candidate to spearhead and develop operations in South Africa. The perfect candidate should be proactive, energetic and possess technical proficiency in program design, M&E and training. Our initiative involves a multi-stage expansion of the Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL) program in partnership with South Africa’s National Department of Education, UNICEF and the ZENEX Foundation. TaRL aims to support primary school students who are struggling with basic numeracy and literacy skills.
The preferred candidate should possess significant expertise in leading teams and partner schools, overseeing teacher and youth volunteer training. This role has a dual reporting structure due to The Learning Trust/ Youth Impact secondment relationship. As Project Manager, you will be responsible for expanding TaRL into South Africa, starting with North West region and expanding into other provinces over time.
