To me, World Water Day is personal.
As a girl in Ghana some 30+ years ago, I used to fetch and carry buckets of water whenever there were water shortages. We’d walk for miles in the early hours of the morning and join slow moving queues, in hopes of bringing home water.
According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), approximately 785 million people around the world lack access to clean water.
Years ago, I started NGO Recruit with the firm belief that change is possible, that if we all contributed in one way or another to the Sustainable Development Goals, the world would be a better place.
Our passion for the sector stems from our personal backgrounds and lived experiences.
What’s your water story?
